It was a good time to fellowship with these special women who have come to know the Lord. We get together on Friday nights each month, for food and fellowship and learning more about Jesus and His great love for us. These women are simple house keepers of foreigners who come to live in Chiang Mai. Being able to speak English was important and necessary for them in their jobs.
In addition to ministering to women and children, The Lord brought me a wonderful opportunity to do some translation work. It was truly providential that I got together with Compassion International, an organization reaching out to the inner city and poor children of Thailand. They were targeting about 90,000 children with the distribution of a special children's Bible. One copy of The Action Bible in Thai would priced at $17 plus shipping, coming from America. But if Compassion could find a Thai translator to volunteer for the job, the final cost would come down to only $2 per Bible. I am so excited to be able to do this job. It must be proof read by several Thai professionals to make sure of its readability and accuracy. Please pray for me to have the insight from God to use the right words as God is reaching to so many Thai children and their families.
