The Heaven's Grace StoryPastor Bill Wilkerson and his beloved wife Wilai met while attending Hardin Simmons University in their early twenties. Not long after dating, they decided to get married and head West to start a family. They took in Wilai's little sister Mary when she was just 12 years old and helped rear her in a God-fearing home. The years would yield 3 more children, an unwavering ministry to serve God and preach the gospel around the globe, and touch the lives of many.
God planted the Wilkerson family in Arlington, TX where Bill pastored the Door Christian Fellowship Church and served his local community. Bill ministered to those in prison, on the streets, in the hospitals and was well loved by his church congregation. At the age of 51, in January of 2010, cancer took Bill home to be with Jesus. This left his soul mate Wilai, his kids, Alathia, Stephen and Alyssa, to a sudden change in life circumstances, virtually over night. But God is good, and he is seeing them through. Wilai and Alathia were called to their homeland of Thailand to be missionaries. They are using their God given skills and talents to bless the people of Thailand. Wilai teaches English in a private school called Grace International and Alathia is studying at an International University. The teachers at Grace are funded by their home ministries. When not working at the school or going to school, they minister the gospel of Jesus Christ through the offering of English lessons, music lessons, sewing and canning classes. They visit orphanages, bless the less fortunate and pray with the sick, distressed and weary. We believe that God has a great work to do through these talented women that will allow them to continue the ministry that Bill started when he was alive. This ministry helps support women an children out of sex slavery and provides them with valuable and practical skills to create a better living for themselves in a way that allows them to contribute to society. Wilai and Alathia attend local church ministries to bless them with music, charity and heart of worship. HeavensGrace.org was created to support the mission work being done in Thailand.
