A few months ago, I learned about the multiple benefits of Moringa Oleifera leaves. I started to look for it at the local market. Moringa Oleifera claimed by some scientists to be a miracle tree because it has everything the body needs, including vitamins, minerals and essential amino acids. (You can google the name and find out a lot about this plant!)
Recently, I started making moringa tea and invited the girls to come to my room and have tea with me. Many girls come each night for a healthy drink before bed time. (This tea also helps to detox and improves the digestive system . Drinking the tea helps to regulate those who are often constipated, as well.) When they come, we get to talk, pray and often end up having a Bible discussion. Tonight, however, we had something more special. God gave me an opportunity to pray, by faith, in Jesus' name for a healing of one girls. Ilada had pain in her knee for over a year. She shared with me that she is constantly in pain and often limping from it. We prayed believing and thanking God for His healing. After we prayed, Ilada was so surprised and over joyed that she felt no more pain. Partip and Jenjira shared that while we were praying, they also received healing from pain in their bodies. Glory to God for His Goodness and Healing!!

We celebrate birthdays once a month for those who were born on each particular month. This month, we had 2 staff members and one of our girls-Narin. She turns 15 years old this month. We celebrate Breanna's House of Joy's style: we pray for those who have the birthday and they get the first scoop of ice cream with a candle on top. Every one got to enjoy unlimited amount of ice cream, even with bread. (They really like it served that way...)
Face painting, any one? We had a sign up sheet of about 10 girls who loves to draw. We load up our van to participate in a local event, as part of Thailand's national children's day celebration. It was a great time to be to get to know some of the people in our neighborhood and to represent Breanna's House as people who love to serve because of Jesus's love. Our artistic missionaries and high school girls painted on the faces of some 150-200 happy children and a few brave adults!
What an honor to be able to preach the gospel message at a government school near our children's home, Breanna's House of Joy. The school has over 600 students, kindergarten through 9th grade. Ten of our girls are attending this school. Lord willing, we will begin to build relationships with teachers and administrators as well as with individual students. I will be going into the classrooms to volunteer teach English conversation in multiple levels starting, January 14th. Please pray for me to be able to share God's love in the classroom and individually. Our 30 girls were off from school for a week. The Thai director and staff decided to allow those with living relatives to visit their elders in the village for 3 nights to pay respect and maintain relationship as they celebrate new year. Nine girls with no relatives got to be with us for special outings and activities. We had a slumber party, picnic at a lake, and outings to the market. They learned some new board games and enjoy some foreign food favorites like pancakes and p & j sandwiches. (Sorry, were busy making and doing that I did not get to take more pictures.)
