Lots of practice and preparation for Christmas events and teaching the children about giving and being a blessing to others. The girls gave gifts to another children's home and brought Christmas cheers at their school and at a nursing home resort near us. Merry Christmas to you all, Dear Family and Friends!May 2020 be the year for renewed strength and amazing blessings to you!
Wishing you warmth and sunshine as you celebrate your Happy New Year!

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone! The staff of the children's home went to eat at KFC to celebrate Thanksgiving. I know that it was far from the roast turkey with all the trimmings. But we can take any situation and give thanks. |

We also had a candle light Thanksgiving service at the children's home. We gave thanks to God for giving the vision to the founder's family to established this children's home for needy girls who now are blessed with receiving an education and a safe place to live with a brighter future.
A very busy month as we have the founders and a team of great talents and resources. Because of them, our students had a band and we help a Christian Concert. We went on outreaches and outing together and our girls were so blessed as this team members sponsored all the girls who didn't have sponsorship.
I have fallen off my motorcycle a few times since I started riding for the first time in 2011. Each time, I only had minor scratches here and there, I was quick to get back on my feet again. This last accident, however, it happened because I was too stubborn to stop along the way when I was feeling sleepy... I lost control of my motorbike and in a split second was on the ground. I didn't have any outward injuries but I hyper extended my ligaments on my right foot. I didn't know it then, but it was going to take a few more months to completely heal up.
Keeping my normal routine, just having to move ever so slowly. It's annoying to do so, but I understand that sometimes, you have to take it slow and rest when you need to.
Staff and team went to sight seeing at a flower garden on a hill. It was a good little tour before the team leaves for home.
Teaching action songs, reading Thai with the little girls and budget workshop with college students.
I continued with my volunteer work, teaching at the local Thai school, helping with their English play competition. I also spend time in town at our college students' houses, one for boys and one for girls. I attended meetings, to help the students to do 'life plan' for their future, do Bible lessons and make smoothies. Not to far from the college housing, I visited twice a week for English lessons. It is a small Bible school for hill tribe students with a motto...change your life, change your world. |
A short mission team came to visit for a month of late July to mid August. We did a lot of activities together like going to the lake, to the local school to the local church and learning more about God and praying together. I also got to share my 'roti' recipe. My friend wanted to make some when she gets home to Colorado.
Thank God for wonderful road trips and church visits...spending time with family, getting reacquainted with life long friends and meeting new ones. Thank you valued ones, for your prayers, encouragements and supports of my ministry with God's children and His work in Thailand.
Numerous Boba times with my family... past and present, each time is still special and Boba-delicious!
Boba time brings the family together for a chat, a hug and a bonding. It reminds me of the times that I made Boba smoothies at the children's home for all the girls and staff. All the girls pitched in to help...I missed them. We thoroughly enjoy sharing the sweet, icy, cool fruity drink together. Can't wait to do some Boba again soon!

More than 30 years ago, my family migrated from Thailand by way of Singapore to the US..... My Mom's first home was in Florida before she moved to Texas. My brother loves the states has built his own home and grown his own family there... along with a whole garden of Asian herbs and trees along with chicken and rabbits. His place is like an tropical oasis with trees producing mangos, papayas, jackfruits, lychees and logans that I would see in Thailand.
It was a wonderful reunion as a mother and her three grown kids returned to family there and to the place where we had begun....
My first spring time in eight years... Love the wild flowers and streams, and enjoying helping my Mom in her garden. (Hard work, but she loves her garden.) My Mom has many herbs and spices along with four hens (and one rooster) that provide her with fresh eggs daily. How special to be able to see dear friends and spending precious time with family.
