Summer in Thailand is here once again. School is out, we had a celebration for our graduates and a sentimental time to say fair well. Our four older girls are off to live at the college girls dorm in town. We had a fun time celebrating their accomplishments. Then after the celebration and cleaning up of our dorm rooms, we had fun with a foot spa. Ah...nothing like soaking in soothing warm sea salt water and baby oil ... The girls were wanting to have some Roti, (a fried flat bread, originated in India.) So we made some for everyone...2 kilos of flour and over 40 pieces of Roti's! The girls had fun making their own delicious crispy bread with sweet milk!

Last weekend, I got to attend a women's retreat, right here in Chiangmai. This was such a great treat to just get a way for a day or two and just focused on God and allowed Him to speak to us, to listen to God's heart and be refilled. Full sail Ministries set up a retreat called "Current of Women-Displaying God's heart through the arts." After two days of painting, the artists revealed the meaning of their work. The tree is, of course, like a Christian life, was we walk with God and serving God, we may go through seasons of dryness, loneliness and even a maze of problems...but as we continue let our roots go deep into God's love, we can over come and be productive, fruitful and reflecting His glory through our lives. Amen!
It really was totally God that was moving in a small Buddhist school. God's dominion allowed me to be able to go in during lunch recess, 4 days a week to share the Gospel using the Wordless book and to pass out the 5 color bead bracelets. I brought my friend, Lumi with me on one of the days. The director happened to be walking by and God gave us complete liberty to share the Gospel with the boys and girls. It all started with our girls from the children's telling their friends about God. The friends wanted to know more. At first, there were just a handful who came out then it just grew to a larger group. Each day that I got to share with the boys and girls, it seemed that God brought to mind different aspects of His love, forgiveness and salvation. Some of these children were hearing God's message for the first time. All glory and honor to our Amazing God!
