A rare occasion when we all would be able to go eat out at a restaurant. I drove a van full of girls-16 of them. We were at a all you can eat, steam boat style restaurant. We were able to do this special event with some donation money and the money that they won from the municipal Thai dancing contest. Thank God for the chance to eat a lot of good food.... The girls never had eaten so much food!

In mid May, we had a celebration of another season of God's goodness and blessings. We rejoiced over the new staff and new girls that God brought to our children's home in recent weeks. We had fun learning and playing together. As we have our cook out, we have no fancy tables and chairs to eat but the girls love this kind of eating out, where we just gathered around, cook and eat together.
Big girls and little girls love to play games! I have a few games that build brain power as well as loads of fun. It is a way to build relationships and creat opportunity to talk to them about their walk with God...
School started 4 weeks ago. Our high school girls are in full swing of their studies. They have a lot of homework each night, we get through it together. We have 5 new little girls to attend the elementary school. We had to use less water due to a drought, the girls had to learn to use buckets to wash their cups and trays.
Some of the girls came to visit me while I was recovering from the cat attack the other day. I did not see the stray cat under the table where I was standing with the girls. I must have stepped on his foot or tail because the next second he had already punctured me and ran away. I did not think it was that bad after cleaning the wound. He had left about 6 puncture holes and scratches, but they seemed to be very tiny. Just cleaned it really good and bandage it up, so I thought... But the next day, I was in so much pain and could not walk, my foot had gotten so swollen and was throbbing so. That was day one, with the hospital's visit, 10 shots, 2 kinds of antibiotics and a lot of prayers. Even when I had an allergic reaction to one of the antibiotics, itching like crazy and the pain and the tightness on the foot kept me from walking, God showed His grace and mercy. Day 11th today and I continue to heal in spite of falling down and still itching...No matter what we may face, God provides his care through those around us. One girl has been coming to care for me everyday. She was there on the week ends to clean my room and making sure that I eat well. Other girls came for homework help and/or visit. My daughter sent me food and flowers. And I can feel the prayers of so many friends and my family. It goes to show that with God, we have the strength to bear all things.
