We have moved to an Orphanage to help take care of these 8 orphaned aids children. Alathia loves to paint there nails. Teaching the house rules to the children just before dinner. Teaching the girls reading and counting in english.

The Prie Tribe Youth had never seen a decorated cake in their life. The Cake was made from custard bread that did not rise, which was just perfect for birthday cakes. Better close up pictures of the cakes will be posted later. In the future Alathia will be able to teach some of the Prie Tribe children how to decorate cakes.
The missionary couple on the far right currently have been living in Nan น่าน
Thailand with the Prie Tribal People for 18 years. Alathia and I were able to have the privilige to join in the missionary team as guests for the Prie Tribe Youth Camp to travel the 8 hour commute to Nan. We had a wonderful time singing, celebrating Thailand's water festival together, and baking. The youth camp slogan was In Jesus Christ We can. We even were able to join the children in planting corn. The Prie Tribe children are so amazing. They can plant corn straight down a hill!!! The night services for the Lahu Tribe Conference were held in a large dirt area with 1,000's of plastic chairs. For this Lahu Tribe Conference the overflow were sent to the bushes. :) Alathia preparing to sing more songs at the Lahu Tribe Youth Camp. Alathia has
to learn Thai gospel songs in 15 minutes or less thus Karaoke on the run. This Youth Camp in Chiang Rai was a seperate part of a Larger conference. Around
200 Lahu Tribe youth came to these exciting fun filled events. God really touched many of the Lahu youth. God's touch was so evident and powerful at the youth meetings as Lahu Youth filled the front of the stage when the altar call was made. Alathia told me about teens praying at the altar, that were so touched they trembled as some of the youth recieved Jesus Christ for the first time. The youth were encouraged to trust God for changed lives and a future beyond the norm of their people. For this conference 7,000 people filled the hills of Chiang Rai with home made tents and. |
