Thailand's less humid time of year is normally cooler during the evenings and early mornings where the temperature is at a comfortable 60-70 degrees. By mid-day, it is a warm 80-90 degrees. The only places that are really cold, are up in the mountains of north, where the temperature can get down into the 30's and 40's. This year, however, a cold spell hit downtown Chiang Mai and its suburb where I live. The people around here had never experienced such cold. For a week, we were in the 50's degree all day with no sunshine. Thai homes do not have heaters. So, what do we do? We bundled up like Eskimos, where ever.we go, indoor and out. We have hot chocolate in the mornings and wear thick coat to every meal and to every service. It was a crazy weather week!

I have been cooking Wilai's Thai food for years but have never learned the proper way that the professional Thai chefs do it. I finally went to a Thai cooking class. Wow! it was a wonderful experience!!
The girls have been practicing singing and dancing to Christmas songs just to get ready to celebrate Christmas on new year's eve. It was a night of food, fun and fellowship! We had a mission team joining us along with all the staff and our missionaries and supporters in town. There were skits, songs and dance with lots of food, gifts and love to go around.
