The mission team came to teach and train on Biblical Counseling: how to bring God's Word to someone and allow the Holy Spirit to speak into their lives.... It is not based on Psychology or any of man's theory. The foundation is God and the authority of His Word. For 2 weeks, the team blessed us with training during the day and special time with the girls at night. One member of the team taught Bible flannel board stories; a delight by all the girls!

At the children's home, on this day, the girls were honoring the 'Mothers in the Lord'. Feel girls representing all the girls were shy but happy and thankful that God has given them mothers who have been caring for them for many years...in the place of their biological parents who for many reasons were not there... Many of these girls have been at BHJ since they were only five or six years old... How thankful we were that God brought them to a safe place where they are growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord.
Another wonderful trip to a village...our mission: to share the love of God and to educate the people about human trafficking. We also wanted to bless the school and the villagers by building a swing set in the school play ground. Children in the area came out and our older girls lead in games for hours. At the end of their workday, many villagers came to join in the worship service, to hear the message and the Gospel presentation. Our heart were full as we realized that God's Word and His love were planted in the hillside.
Special time at the children's home as the founders and the mission team came to visit. The children by age groups, prepared worship dances as we received words of encouragement and faith. We prayed and worshiped together...Lots of love and blessing to go around...
ศูนย์ศึกษาการพัฒนาห้วยฮ่องไคร้อันเนื่องมาจากพระราชดำริ The name is Huey Hong Krai Development Educational Center. It was a decree from the king of Thailand to provide a place of learning for the community. We came here for a tour to learn more about the importance of the forest for the local people and the country. We learned how with determination and hard work, the over 2000 acres of interfiled land can turn into a lush and thriving forest, providing support for agriculture and live stock. It was such a big place.... We saw only a small part of it. But we had a fun nature walk, a picnic and roaming around. Definitely, a great place to come visit again!
Sharing at a church service, speaking of God's blessings for us. His plan and purpose is always the best for our lives. Our part is to seek God with all and heart, receive His plan and purpose for us...and stay close to Him every day. (Jeremiah 29:11-13) A sister who lives in California came to visit her auntie and brought for us these lovely bright t-shirts. These shirts were a blessing in disguise as there were misprinted shirts intended for a school. But they are perfect for us, when we go for outings... Thank you, Father God, Khun Jo and P'Suporn for making 'the blessing' possible for us.
Rainy season is here...and it rains every day, some times in the late afternoon then again in the night. School walk ways and fields are drenched but we continued on Fridays, with worship service... I am privileged to be a part of it. Looking at the faces of the children, it made me think...How much God loves them, how much they need to know that for real, deep down in their heart...
How blessed I am to have my children come visit me... Last December, my youngest child, Alyssa came with my sister to have Christmas in Thailand together. Mid July, my son came to spend a few days with his Mom. I took him to see the sunset by the reservoir, visited church and shared with the girls at the children's home. He got to see his oldest sister in town and discovered a few amazing places in Chiang Mai. But the best time we had was just talking and playing and spending time together. Even when he got sick...we got through it and learned a lot from it. Thank you son for visiting your Mom in Thailand.
