My missionary friend and I got to take our teenage girls to a beautiful reservoir near by. The water had gone very low during the dry months. Now with the welcoming rain, it is on the rise again. You can see how big it is by looking at the size of the speed boat coming toward us. We had a wonderful private discussion about the value of being a woman. The girls really needed a reminder of how precious and special they are in God's eyes, and about how much God love and value them. Thai society at large has viewed women as being of lesser value when compared to men. The girls and we two missionary ladies talked about some difficult topics such as teenage pregnancy and even abortion... We agreed that life is precious and that God has a great plan and purpose for each of us. We confirmed that our position in Christ as God's children bring security and confidence.
