Saying Hello Through Technology

A few month ago, we had one volunteer from America to come visit us at the center. The children love to play sports with Brother John. He came faithfully for many weeks, after school to play badminton and volleyball with us. John had learned many Thai phrases during his short stay in Thailand . The girls had a great time talking to brother John and his funny Thai accent.  They learned that because John loves Jesus, he came to spend some time with them. He played games with the girls, talked to them, listened to them, and made them laugh and have fun.

The girls really missed their Brother John when he returned home to America. So, on this night, we arranged for the girls to be able to talk to Brother John via Skype. It was the first time in their lives to do so. The got to hear of the freezing cold in America and even got to see snow as Brother John took his laptop outside in the freezing cold for a very quick few seconds. The girls were so impressed with the idea of playing in the snow... if only they could feel how cold minus degrees could be. BRurr!!!
