What a fun day for children all over Thailand. Second Saturday in January is set each year for about 10 years now to celebrate children by allowing them to have fun with games, slides and rides, all for free. The girls favorite activity is this bouncing 12 meters tall slide! National Children's Day, January 12, 2013. Set aside for children to have fun but also allow them to shine with a talent show from kindergarten level to high school. Thailand recognizes that children is the future of the nation. One of the highlight of the day was a puppet show by a father and son team from Korea. The Korean pastor volunteer his time and expense to produce this puppet show to share the Good News of Jesus. With hundreds of children watching, it was a good planting of God's love in their hearts. The girls at our center where able to roam free all over the ground at the court yard. The local business and district government put on the works with games, rides, food court and of course lots of candy. The children were able to win prizes for answering trivia questions. It was amazing and everything was totally free for the whole family.
